BeanCounter requires the use of Microsoft SQL Server, version 2005 or greater. Get a FREE version from the links on this page.

Please follow the Installation Manual for proper setup.

Free Microsoft SQL Server

BeanCounter stores data in the Microsoft SQL Server database server. Version 2005 SP3 works with the newest versions of Windows.  We also recommend that SQL Server Management Studio be installed to manage the database(s) you create. Microsoft provides a free version of this software.

Important - Make sure when you install the server that you check the box that asks you "Add User to the SQL Server Administration Role" or you won't be able to run the database creation script. See the Installation Manual for more details.
